一般的にアートの模倣がアートです。
模倣は学ぶ事であり、踏襲する事です。
踏襲は文脈に言及し、物語の続きを記述します。
ボイズやデュシャンを知らなくても、良い作品を作る事が出来ることは、アートに興味のある人には無意識の常識になりつつあります。
全ての人が文化の作り手になり得るように、かつて貴族の嗜みだった文化が今や、万人に開かれ、大学院や、大学の通信講座は高齢者であふれ、海外では治療として保険の適用も可能な時代です。
楽器が演奏できなくても、フリーの音楽ソフトで誰でも作曲でき、ネット上では誰もが自分の作った文章や映像を公開出来ます。
表現する事は日常の一部になり、暮らしの形からまた新しい文化の基は育ってゆくのでしょう。
この展示は此花区での展示ということで、「生け花」をテーマに制作しました。
素材を使った純粋な空間造形や、立体的な抽象表現を、一般的にうまく説明できる手段だと思ったからです。
美術は一般化しつつありますが、一般の人たちが美術に理解を示しつつあるわけではありません。 現代美術的な奔放さはそれを納める箱があってこそ成立し、此花の町中では理解を得にくいと考えました。 そこでここでは「生け花」や「用の美」といった、日本人の馴染みのあるテーマを採用しました。
昔、僕が美術の方向に進む事を反対する叔父に、眼鏡のレンズとフレームではどちらが大事か、と言う例え話をした事がありました。
勿論レンズが無ければ意味はありませんが、フレームのデザインが購買力に繋がり、多様性が求められる故に、様々なメーカーや店舗にもニーズが生まれます。
機能と人の隙間を埋める為の何らかの意匠は、極力シンプルであっても必要だからです。
機能を付加する事は、装飾的になりすぎない為の言い訳としてだけでなく、照明器具や展示台等の展示空間の意匠を統一する意味合いもあります。
作業中に必要となった椅子や机も展示してより生活感を出したのは、文化として、もしくはライフスタイルとして、アートが地域に根付いてゆく事を願ってのことです。
勿論、地域活性化を目的としたイベントの空き物件を見せる為の設えとしては、サイトスペシフィック・アートと言うより、むしろクライアントを意識したデザインなのかもしれません。
Imitation of art is art, In general.
Imitation is to learn and is to follow.
Following refers to a context and describes continuation of a story.
This installation located in Konohana-ku "it means this flower", so I produced with the theme of "生け花;the traditional flower arrangement".
It's because I thought that, pure spatial modeling and three-dimensional abstraction which can explained well to local people in this traditional context.
Fine arts are being generalized, but local people aren't understanding fine arts specially at downtown in Konohana.
So i took theme with Japanese acquaintance such as "flower arrangement" and "用の美beauty of use".
As excuse of the purpose by which to add the function doesn't become too decorative, as well as, there is also an implication which unifies design in the exhibition space where it's for an illuminator and an exhibition stand.
The seat and the desk that produce for the needs during setting up, is also exhibited, to give more living sense was from my hope of art is becoming established in this area as a culture or a lifestyle.
